{the backstory}
Occasionally we get the opportunity to film a wedding for someone we already consider a friend. On December 4, 2010 one of our favorite wedding planners, Avis Johnson of Carillon Weddings married her beau John Glenister.
We always try to attend rehearsals so that we can identify the key relationships of our bride and groom. This way we know who Great Aunt Sue is and that she flew over from England to attend the wedding. It also gives us a chance to meet the wedding party and, we hope, help them get comfortable with us. What I didn't expect at Avis and John's rehearsal was to get all teary eyed as her father walked her down the aisle. But there I was, ruining my mascara, as I watched this beautiful gal enjoy the chaos which is a wedding rehearsal. (BTW, she was late!)
You can see Avis and John's personalities reflected in many of the detail shots, but one of the funniest moments from the wedding was when one of John's colleagues from the Sheriff's department hand cuffed them and led them out of the reception as if they were under arrest. Kudos Avis, definitely the most creative exit we filmed in 2010!

Because many of Avis friends are in the wedding industry several of us were there as vendors, and others were as guests. A few of us managed to pile into the "Shoot Shed" Rae Leytham Photography had set up to get this silly shot. We love the picture and all of the people in it! Thank you Avis and John for letting us share in the joy which was your wedding day!
