There are some couples we fall in love with... Donabel + Shawn are one of those couples. They pulled this wedding together VERY quickly, so quickly in fact, that I was a little skeptical when I first spoke to Shawn about their ability to bring everything together in time. But, by the time we met with them in person, I realized they had the drive and desire to pull it off. However, there was still some question of whether or not Donabel's parents would be able to make it over from the Philippines. So, when they walked into the church for the wedding rehearsal the night before the wedding, I teared up because I got to witness their joy at being able to be a part of their daughter's big day. It's one of those moments I will hold in my heart forever.
So here's something that we've learned after doing two Filipino weddings this year... these folks LOVE to perform. Whether it's singing or dancing, they don't hesitate for a moment to grab a mic or to hit the dance floor. So joyful and so much fun to document!
