{the backstory}
We kind of LOVE Steph and Chris. They knew from the very beginning of their wedding planning that having a wedding film of their big day was important to them. We were very excited that we were getting the chance to film at the historic Palafox Wharf in downtown Pensacola. They planned a beautiful garden wedding with the team from Nancy's Haute Affairs, but on Sunday, June 10, 2012 mother nature had very different plans for them. According to the National Weather Service, 13.11 inches fell on Pensacola over 24 hours by Saturday - coming close to the city's all-time record of 15.29 inches set in 1934. On Sunday, it was wet, it was windy, it was impossible to have a garden wedding. Some couples would have dissolved into fits with this setback, but not Steph and Chris. They calmly changed the ceremony location, laughed at the obstacles, and focused on what was really important, the fact they were starting their life together. The rain did let up a bit near sunset and I got to see something I've never experienced at one of our weddings. A rainbow!
